A new direction: Custom Furniture

Welcome to the Schleiff Boatworks website. The year 2013 marks the start of a new chapter in my life as a craftsman. With the purchase of an old limestone quarry just outside of Lewisburg, WV, dreams of building a permanent shop space with attached design studio/office space and showroom are becoming reality. It is a longtime dream to live and work in a private location within walking distance of the wonderful Lewisburg community. I am not currently accepting boat commissions, but rather focusing my energy on building a new shop and persuing my interests in woodturning and furnituremaking. Current Project

 

I graduated from  the North Bennet Street School in Boston MA after completing the cabinet and furniture making program.  I learned a lot about craftsmanship, wood technology, and both historic and modern design and proportion. I enjoying living in the city for two years, but now I'm so glad to be back in Lewisburg WV.
