Coquina for Sale: A Herreshoff cat-ketch
Coquina, a Cat-ketch designed by N.G. Herreshoff in 1889 for his personal use in Bristol RI. “I sailed her often both summer and winter” Herreshoff wrote late in his life. Coquina remained in the Herreshoff family until she was destroyed in the hurricane of 1938.
Schleiff Boatworks now offers a modern replica using glued sapele plywood lapstrake construction with Sitka spruce spars, custom bronze hardware,and mahogany brightwork.
