New Construction Offerings

New construction provides the core service of Schleiff Boatworks. Cold molding, carvel, strip, stitch and glue, lapstrake, and glued plywood lapstrake are all planking methods that I offer. I can also create modern and traditional replicas: Modern meaning original look and feel with lower maintenance and longer life. Traditional, meaning true to the original in materials and technique - such as carvel over steamed frames or riveted cedar lapstrake.

I can fabricate both hollow and solid Sitka spruce spars glued with West System epoxy and either varnished or painted to your specifications.   Spars are available up to 25’
